Singapore Council of Women’s Organisation (SCWO)
The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO) is the national coordinating body of women’s organizations in Singapore Incorporated in March 1980, the SCWO serves to unite the various women’s organizations, clubs, committees, groups and women leaders together, working in accordance with its various aims and objectives. The SCWO also seeks to co-ordinate these associations into a national movement and to act on their behalf in matters for which it is authorized by its members.
The SCWO is represented on various Government and inter-ministry committees where we contribute our views in the areas of family, women and on children’s issues. We are involved in government Feedback Sessions and other discussions on issues and policies.
Association of Women Doctors (Singapore)
The Association of women doctors Singapore aims to enhance the professional development and well being of its members in the medical and dental profession by providing a social platform for networking and communication. The society serves as a voice for women’s health issues and an advocate for the advancement of women in practice.
The society serves to provide information on career guidance and mentoring, and is also active in organizing
seminars, forums and workshops relating to health concerns, particularly those pertaining to women and
families.
